Alistair Jones


Alistair joined Allington Hughes in 1977 as an Articled Clerk, having graduated in Law from Nottingham Trent University. He qualified in 1979 and became a Partner at the firm in 1982. He remained a Partner until 2007 and has since acted as a Consultant.

Throughout the majority of his career Alistair has specialised in Private Client work including Trust and Probate, Commercial property and other Commercial matters. Since becoming a Consultant, he has focused on Private Client matters.

Outside of work Alistair is a keen runner and hill walker. He takes an interest in all areas of the Arts History and Education, is a Governor of Upton High School, a Director of Chester based Theatre in the Quarter, a Trustee of the Chester Civic trust, a Founder Trustee of the Hospice of the Good Shepherd based at Backford and a Trustee of the Jean Shanks Foundation which promotes research into Pathology matters. He also holds a BA in History.
