Hannah works in the Wills, Probate and Trusts department. Her work broadly includes:-
• The preparation of Wills. This ranges from relatively straightforward Wills to more complex areas including trusts, guardianship appointments and inheritance tax planning.
• The preparation of and advice relating to Lasting Powers of Attorney for financial affairs and health and welfare.
• Hannah can assist with all aspects of the administration of estates including the administration of estates on intestacy, complex estates where inheritance tax is payable and where assets have been left in trust. Hannah can also assist where there is an agricultural or business element involved Hannah has a particular interest in trusts and can assist with the creation of lifetime trusts, will trusts and trust administration generally. Hannah deals with the day to day management of all of the Trusts at Allington Hughes.
Hannah is a full member of the Society of Trust and Estates Practitioners (STEP) following the completion of the STEP Diploma in Trusts and Estates in 2015, achieving a Distinction. Hannah was awarded the prize for being the top graduate for the STEP Diploma – England and Wales worldwide between July and December 2015.
Hannah is a committee member and Treasurer for her local STEP branch, STEP Cheshire. Hannah deals with the branch accounts, annual returns and seminar bookings.
Hannah studied Law at Cardiff University and then went on to attend the College of Law in Chester to study the Legal Practice Course where she achieved a Distinction. She was also awarded the Cullimore Dutton Prize for obtaining the highest mark for Private Client (Wills, Trusts and Estate Planning) work whilst studying at the College of Law.
Hannah joined Allington Hughes Law as a Trainee Solicitor in 2010 and qualified as a Solicitor in 2012. She was promoted to Senior Associate Solicitor in October 2018.
