Patrick is a solicitor in the Criminal Department based in Wrexham, however he travels to Police Stations and Courts around the country.
He obtained his Law Degree from the Bangor University (formally University of Wales Bangor) in 2009 and completed the Legal Practice Course in 2010.
Patrick joined Allington Hughes in January 2015 as a Paralegal in the Criminal Department, having previously spent a five years working in Chester, specialising in Criminal Law. He became a fully accredited Police Station Representative in 2013 and started his Training Contract with the Company in December 2015, becoming fully qualified as a Solicitor in June 2017.
He became an accredited Duty Solicitor for the Police Station and Court in 2018.
Patrick attends the local Police Stations and Magistrates’ Courts regularly to provide advice and assistance to clients on both a Legal Aid and Private basis.
He has dealt with a variety of cases and organisations during his time as a Police Station Representative, Paralegal and Solicitor, from simple shoplifting matters to multi handed drug conspiracies and historic sexual offences.
Since qualifying he has dealt with numerous cases in the Magistrates’ Court and conducted many trials dealing with offensive weapons, assault, harassment, breach of restraining orders, Public Order Act offences together with Domestic Violence Protection Notices and Orders.
Patrick has a vast amount of experience dealing with interviews under Caution and court proceedings brought by various different prosecuting authorities such as the Information Commissioners Office (ICO), NHS, Royal Mail and the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP).
