Qualification Routes

We are committed to nurturing the next generation of legal professionals by offering two distinct pathways to qualify as a solicitor: the traditional Legal Practice Course (LPC) route and the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) route.

We recognise that aspiring solicitors have diverse backgrounds and preferences, and we are dedicated to supporting your journey through either pathway, ensuring you receive comprehensive training and exposure to a wide range of legal practices.

Period of Recognised Training

LPC Route:

  • 2-year training contract
  • Fully funded Professional Skills Course
  • Experience in three or more practice areas

SQE Route:

  • 2-year qualifying work experience
  • Funded assessment – SQE2
  • Experience in three or more practice areas

What does our process look like?

ON RECEIPT OF YOUR APPLICATION

The short-listing process will not be completed until the closing date has passed. Within 6 weeks of the application deadline , we will write to you and let you know how your application is progressing. Please note that due to the volume of applicants, we will not be able to give detailed feedback if you have not been invited for an interview.

FIRST STAGE INTERVIEW

If you have been selected for an interview, you will be invited into one of our offices to meet with three of our Directors. This will be a formal interview which will last for around 45 minutes and won’t require a presentation. We will then contact you to advise whether you have been successful.

SECOND STAGE ASSESSMENT

If you have been successful at the first stage, we will invite you back for a second stage assessment which will be detailed at the time.

OFFER STAGE

If you have been successful, we will write to you with a formal offer of employment, starting in the first week of September of the year you have been recruited for.

PRIOR TO STARTING WORK WITH US

Before you start, we will get back in touch to arrange a get-together with some of our current trainees, so you can meet some friendly faces and get the low-down on what has been going on since your last visit.
