Steve’s work generally relates to Wills, Estates, Trusts, and matters relating to mental capacity issues including Court of Protection applications. He has worked in these areas since qualification in 2000.

Here are some of the issues Steve has recently been working on:

  • Estates with assets in various jurisdictions
  • Urgent Probate court limited grant applications
  • Acting as deputy for a number of individuals who cannot manage their affairs because of mental incapacity
  • Acted in Statutory Will applications at the Court of Protection for people who do not have capacity to execute a Will themselves
  • Setting up Personal Injury Trusts for vulnerable adults.

He also specialises in more complex Will drafting for high Net worth clients; taking into account Inheritance Tax, Capital Gains Tax and Income Tax issues and also Trusts for vulnerable beneficiaries.

Steve joined Allington Hughes in 1998 as a trainee solicitor, having graduated from University in Dublin with a degree in Philosophy. After qualifying as a solicitor in 2000, he became a Partner in 2006 and became a director upon incorporation in 2013.
