Katrina is Head of our Commercial Property department and joined Allington Hughes as a Senior Solicitor in August 2022 after relocating from Essex where she was a partner in a long established regional practice.
Katrina studied law at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth and qualified as a solicitor in 2004. She has specialised in property transaction throughout her career, and has vast experience in a wide range of commercial property matters, including:
- commercial leases and lease renewals and related agreements, consents and notices;
- sale and purchase of freehold and leasehold commercial property interests, including large property portfolios, fully occupied large commercial properties, division of complex sites and conditional agreements on planning or other matters;
- acquisition of land intended for onward development including consideration of potential issues affecting development/onward sales of plots with the client;
- facility and security documentation for financing/refinancing of commercial property transactions;
- acquisition or disposal of businesses by way of asset sale agreements and acting on the property and other aspects of corporate acquisitions; and
all other aspects of commercial property transactions, including deeds of easement, overage provisions, options, pre-emption agreements and planning obligation agreements such as section 106 agreements and unilateral undertakings.
