Ian Edwards

Director

Ian specialises in both commercial and residential property matters. He has worked in conveyancing since qualifying as a solicitor in 1996.

Ian joined Allington Hughes in 2007, became a Partner in 2009 and, following the firm’s incorporation, was appointed a Director in 2013.

Prior to joining Allington Hughes, Ian worked as a solicitor in local government, advising on property matters as well as highways and planning agreements.

Outside of the office, Ian has a long-standing commitment to supporting the Wrexham community through a variety of business, education and charitable roles. He was a founding Director and the first Chairman of North Wales Crusaders Rugby League Club, serving as Chairman for 12 years.

Ian is a Director of Wrexham BID Limited, which works to deliver improvements to Wrexham city centre, and a Director of the Wrexham Business and Community Awards CIC, which organises the annual Wrexham Business and Community Awards. He is also a committee member and organiser of Wrexham Business Professionals, a networking group that supports businesses across Wrexham.

Ian serves as a Governor at Darland High School and Barker's Lane Primary School and is Chair of the Wrexham School Governors’ Association. He is also a member of the Wrexham Leadership Alliance Steering Group.

In addition, Ian is a member of the Wrexham City Board, the voluntary partnership responsible for developing and overseeing the delivery of Wrexham’s Neighbourhood Plan, supported by £20 million of UK Government funding over a ten-year period. He also serves as an adviser to the Wrexham City of Culture 2029 bid.

Ian is Vice Chair and a Charity Trustee of the Wrexham Prostate Cancer Support Group.
