Landlord and Tenant Services

Based in Wrexham, Chester, Llanrwst

With increased legislation placing pressure on private landlords to have their affairs in order, we have created a basic fixed fee service to cover all of your needs.

Allington Hughes are one of only a few providers of specialist Landlord and Tenant advice. We are the only private firm of Solicitors in Wrexham that has been granted a contract to provide legal aid on Housing. Subject to means testing, we can advise and assist clients funded publicly under the Legal Help Scheme and we can provide a full funding certificate for court proceedings.

We can assist in all situations from Landlord or Tenant to Debt and Money Advice and have extensive experience with issues such as;

  • Possession of the home (to include mortgage possession which is referred to now as debt by the Legal Aid Association);
  • Eviction from home (including unlawful eviction);
  • Seeking repairs to rented accommodation where the disrepair poses a serious risk to harm or health and safety;
  • Homelessness assistance for persons who are homeless or threatened with homelessness;
  • Injunctions under the Protection from Harassment Act 1997 in the context of housing and ASBO matters in the County Court.
